Day 18- rained all night and was very windy

The trip south would bring strong head winds and showers

We also made room for some big trucks

Time to use some of our extra fuel we were hopeing to avoid the $ 2.00 a lt we got
stung with on the way up

A quick look around Coober Pedy then back on the road

This would have to be one of the most boring sections of road

So on to Glendambo for the night, this is a great little place and only $ 20 powered site

Day 17 - time to start our trip south again

After packing up for the first leg towards home we decided to take a look at the Ernest Giles Rd
Everyone had told us not to try it but we thought we had to take a look.

We decided to continue on regardless

On the way had a look at the Meteorite Craters

We did the right thing and helped out a fellow traveler in trouble on our way back to the Hwy

Then it was time to make some miles down the road before night fall.

We reached the boarder around 1pm, so it was back into SA and on towards
Marla for the night.

We arived at Marla around 5.30 and hit the sack
